Surin Krittayaphongphun is Executive Director of Advanced Info Service (AIS), Thailand's leading telecommunications and digital services provider, and Acting Head of its Entertainment Business Unit, home to the AIS PLAY streaming platform. He joined the AIS board as an Independent Director in March 2024 and moved into his executive role in August 2025. Under his leadership, AIS PLAY has set out to become Thailand's destination for sports and entertainment, bringing football, tennis, basketball, American football and golf together on a single platform. Surin brings more than three decades of leadership across Thai media, entertainment and consumer brands. He spent 16 years over two stints at BEC World, operator of Channel 3, rising from Vice Managing Director and Acting Managing Director of Thai TV3 to Executive Director and President of Television Business, where he also chaired the company's risk management and sustainability committees. Between those roles he was President of Bangkok Media and Broadcasting, operator of PPTV HD36. Earlier in his career he was Managing Director of S.C. Johnson & Son and BMG Entertainment in Thailand, following marketing and business development roles at Pepsi-Cola and Unilever. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Middle Tennessee State University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Thammasat University.
