Markus Gloël is Co-Founder of IKON Capital, an investment platform and advisory business focused exclusively on sports, media and entertainment. Established in 2024 with Damien O'Donohoe and operating from London and Dubai, the firm invests directly in tier-one sports properties and advises franchise owners, institutional platforms and corporate stakeholders on acquisitions, growth capital and multi-year commercial partnerships. IKON keeps a deliberately low profile and takes an operating rather than passive stance, anchoring transactions and assembling consortiums to secure controlling or strategic minority positions. In January 2026, IKON led the acquisition of MotoGP's Tech3 team alongside David Blitzer's Bolt Ventures and Main Street Advisors, in an investor group that also includes Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly. The following month it joined Doug DeVos and American Magic as co-investor in the US$60 million acquisition of the ROCKWOOL Racing SailGP Team, a series-record valuation. Gloël brings more than two decades of institutional finance experience. Before founding IKON, he spent nearly ten years as a Managing Director at Sixth Street, working within the firm's European private equity and global opportunities strategies during the period in which Sixth Street built one of the most consequential sports portfolios in institutional investing, including its €360 million Santiago Bernabéu partnership with Real Madrid, its LaLiga media-rights investment in FC Barcelona and stakes in the San Antonio Spurs and Legends. He began his career in M&A at Morgan Stanley and was an Associate and later Vice President at TPG Capital.
