Stepping into this global leadership role in February 2024, he is responsible for overseeing Amazon's live sports broadcasting strategy, rights acquisitions, and production operations worldwide. Based in Greater London, Green plays a pivotal role in expanding Amazon's premium live sports portfolio across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. During his tenure of over 11 years at Amazon, Green has been a driving force behind the platform's major sports broadcasting milestones. As the former Managing Director of Prime Video Sport Europe, he pioneered the company's entry into live European football by securing prestigious UEFA Champions League rights in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy. He also spearheaded high-profile tennis acquisitions, bringing tournament coverage of the French Open (Roland-Garros) to French audiences and Wimbledon to viewers in Germany. Prior to leading Amazon's sports division, Green served as the Director of Prime Video Channels Europe, where he successfully launched and scaled Amazon’s add-on subscription business across key European markets. His extensive background in the British media and telecommunications sectors includes senior leadership roles at BT and Virgin Media, where he developed expertise in TV strategy, digital media, and content distribution before joining Amazon.
